Live Presentations The Beer & Brewer Expo brings Beer & Brewer magazine alive with live presentations of:
- Home Brewing Demonstrations, brought to you by BREW Cellar
- Beer & Food Matching, brought to you by Coopers and Chang; and
- Beer Tasting Masterclasses, brought to you by Dan Murphy’s
We are fortunate to have 3 celebrity presenters host each of the above presentations. They are: - Jamil Zainasheff (USA), for the Home Brewing Demonstrations;
- Ed ‘Fast Ed’ Halmagyi (Aus), for the Beer & Food Matching; and
- Roger Protz (UK), for the Beer Tasting Masterclasses
To see their profiles click here to go to the presenters page. The live presentations will be held on Thursday 20th and Friday 21st May in Tjanabi Restaurant in The Atrium, Fed Square and on Saturday 22nd May in the BMW Edge room, Fed Square. To see the location of these areas, please see the location page. To see the schedule of when and where the live presentations will take place, click here to go to the schedule page. Each presentation will take 20-30 minutes, and include up to 4 beers to taste (50mL sample per beer). Your general admission ticket does not permit you entry into these live presentations. You will need to line up prior each presentation, and pay $5 cash at the door, as no bookings are taken prior. To register to attend one or both of these sessions, please click here Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) I am all pumped for the exop and have recuited a few of my peeps..Can you please clarify what you actuall get the for the price of the tickets- given you syill have to purchase beer to taste?? The ticket price includes: - Entry into the Expo
- Show bag with Official Beer & Brewer Expo 200mL tasting glass (polycarbonate plastic), Beer Lover's Passport to Melbourne, Information and offers from Exhibitors and Sponsors
I have been to the Beer Festival awards on two other occasions and found the day to be excellent, I just wondering why we now have to purchase tastings. - Provide more revenue to the Exhibitors per tasting they sell, rather than the event taking a rebate
- Remove the admin. costs for the event of printing, counting, selling and rebates for tasting tickets
- A pay as you go scenario is a benefit, as you won't be left over with tasting tickets at the end of a session (not being able to redeem them for tastings that you have already paid for)
Please note this is our second year of the Beer & Brewer Expo, having gone down the tasting ticket scenario last year, we are trying cash sales this year. We will reassess the feedback from Exhibitors and the public this year to come to a scenario for next year that should stay in place for years to come. |
